La Genuina’s story is familiar.
It is a barrack that is over 200 years old, a small typical house in the Valencian orchard. Built of reeds and mud, they used it as a house, since there was born in the middle of the Civil War, Rafael Soler, founder of La Genuina, who turned the barrack into a restaurant more than 30 years ago.
He has managed to approach the Valencian hospitality industry as a normal family from the Pinedo orchard lived and ate, being able to taste all kinds of rice, both sweet and paellas, as well as Valencian stews, accompanied by our local wines.
Thus, La Genuina, has become an emblematic place for everyone and known by people from all over the world. It is one of the most typical and authentic places to eat in Valencia.
Our main value is the recovery of traditional cuisine, giving value to traditional dishes such as Fesols i Naps rice, for example.
